Hi PCTools,
Just wanted to mention again (I had mentioned this previously, but as a side aspect of Dreamweaver 8 and FTP upload problems) that with SD5.0.0.174 installed and running, BitDefender's hourly auto-update freezes my PC for 60-90 seconds. SD5 AV is disabled. With SD5 not installed it's hardly even apparent that an auto-update is occurring. Possibly/probably another FTP related problem.

I think that this problem relate to Winsock2 key in Registry be controled by SD 5.0. See my post here :

I also have problem as you. When SD is running, cannot update BitDefender, always get error : "Cannot connect to server"

Hi All,
The issue with Dreamweaver 8 FTP upload and Bitdefender conflicting with SDv5 have been escalated. I will notify you once these issues have been fixed.

Hi PC Tools,
There have been a few updates to SD5 since I reported the PC-freezing-up issue above, but no definite indication whether this issue has now been fixed.
The specific issue never made it to the reported issues list, so it may have slipped through a crack.
For consideration,
Regards, Len

Hi Len,
I have checked this issue and it is still being worked on with the developers. Appears to be some conflicts with SD and Bitdefender. I will add this to the Reported issues thread.
You may also be interested with this thread as you have been experiencing this issue with previous versions of SD: http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46123&page=2
