As the subject asks, does SD run at Window's welcome screen, or does it first start loading after login?

FWIW, this is for SD4, but is important for SD5, as well, if/when it's ready for primetime.

Frankly I can't think of too many things, aside from background files and programs, that do load or are running at the welcome screen, even anti-virus. Since the taskbar icon isn't present when Windows opens up I don't think it's running yet.

Hi
Socrfan Im not entirely sure about this. I think that as it is now a service, it may start initializing while on the Windows welcome screen.
MarkAtHome are you having issues with SDv5 startup?

As for running as a service, Sunbelt's Counterspy loads at the welcome screen to provide protection at that point, which is why I asked about SD.

You may be right about that. I just don't think it's doing any "protecting", as he was concerned with, during the welcome screen. It may be in the process of loading but as to actually being active I don't know.
