Hey Anthony & Chen...from Bad To Worse With .174!

Aloha Guys,

I shut down Ver. .172 and installed the .174 update, then rebooted and tried to start SWDR. No dice! I now get this error message:

"An error occured while trying to enable Spyware Doctor Services. The Specified Service does not exist as an installed service. ( error code 1060 ) "

Wonderful! The services are started ( Services.msc ) and the file exists in the Spyware Doctor program folder.

So, now SWDR 5 won't start at all!

Got any brilliant ideas?

When you updated, did you install over the top of the old version while it was still running?
Try doing a full uninstall and then reinstall. If that fails, try installing in Safe Mode

this sound like just a fault in the installation. reinstalling should do the trick

while you install you may want to also exit from other security applications.
This way you can be sure that nothing is interfering with installation:cool:
