I downloaded SD5.0.0.169 after being prompted, probably by Smart update. I haven't received any more prompts for further updates, but got a daily popup advising that Spyware Doctor required my system to be restarted.
SD4 didn't require daily restarts, so I have reinstalled SD4 and won't reinstall SD5 until I'm sure that this issue is resolved.
Even Microsoft don't require me to restart my system each day!

Try the new version: SD5.0.0.174
Has been released yesterday and seems to solve a lot of issues. Download from the website, then Smart Update.
You will have to reboot after installing ;)

Hi awelsh,
The reason why SD required a re-boot on 5.0.0.169, is because this update would have updated you to the 5.0.0.174. In order for SD to start up with the new changes from the upgrade, it is essential for the re-boot to take place. Normal updates do not require a re-boot on a regular basis.

Then why is V. 174 asking to be rebooted after the boot up? It also has issues with my Dell Quickset being a malicious action and will not add it to the 'global actions.' What's the deal there? I look at Dell as malicious perhaps, but not their quickset program.
