Upgrade notification out with Smart Update

Given the problems with SD5, I have taken it off after my PC was unusable; I was amazed to get an upgrade notification with Smart Update this evening. Have the problems been sorted?

Hi John. I downloaded the post Support gave in this post and having installed it SD5 then said new version available so went to smart update & that failed so the version is either incorrect or the version has been uploaded is wrong? What I can say is smart update constantly fails in SD5 so who knows what version is the latest! What a mess!!
