misery

It was worse than I had expected. Btw, it seems that some of my posts have been deleted or moved ...
I stated that once I had version 4 back it took me 3 or 4 hours to get things back to normal ...
NOT !!!!
Some things (system recovery things, like allocating disk space) are still impaired.
I can't get my wireless adapter (on which I depend) working as well as before I tried version 5.
Also, in spite of my attempts to remove PCTOOLS trash from the registry ... It had somehow affected my McAfee software, especially the antivirus. I couldn't get the most recent update !!!
I tried a partial deinstallation and reinstallation, using a special tool to get rid of the antivirus. Didn't work.
Then I decided to completely remove McAfee from my system and do a reinstall ... Didn't work.
Then I deinstalled antivirus, and with some tricks I could reinstall my antivirus and get it up to date. Just hoping that it will continue to work.
I THINK THAT IN TOTAL FROM THE MOMENT I HAD REINSTALLED VERSION 4 IT TOOK ME ABOUT 7 HOURS TO GET THINGS IN WORKING ORDER AGAIN. Well, not the adapter and the system recovery thing, those issues still remain.
And guess what happened today, when trying to update version 4 ?
IT NAGGED ME TO UPDATE TO VERSION 5 ! That's insane. How many more complaining customers does PCTOOLS want ? Too bad that the Spyware Doctor has become nagware.
PCTOOLS' actions seem totally dysfunctional. Why nag users of version 4 with this piece of software from hell ? It's in noone's interest, except the competition of PCTOOLS.
I just don't trust this company anymore. I may give this a few days or weeks before stopping to use the Spyware Doctor.
