This morning, I got the SD 5 notice. I also got the ZASS 7 notice.
I tried installing ZASS 7 but it popped a warning that it isn't compatible with SD 4.
Reading this forum, I confirmed that a lot of people are having issues.
The obvious solution appears to be an upgrade to SD5 first.
HOWEVER, reading this forum, everyone appears to be unhappy with SD 5.
Some even appear to have issues with SD 5 and ZASS 7.
So my question is this... what are you doing during this time of transition?
Are you upgrading to ZASS 7, and not using SD at all?
Are you upgrading to SD 5 and ZASS 7 with no problems?
Are you staying put with ZASS 6.5 and SD 4 for the time being?
Are you doing something else?
Thanks,

I kept ZASS7 and scrapped all versions of SD.
I completely lost faith in the product. V5 from the first beta to the last beta (production) was horrible. Things like slow browsing and not being able to use email clients from the get-go was a bright, red flag of things to come. I wasn't wrong. After about the 3rd or 4th beta and seeing fundamental, internet functionality like browsing and email issues being what appeared to be a low priority on the fixes, I called it quits and haven't regretted it. Don't get me wrong ZASS 7 beta had some real issues, but they were worked out before going live.
I also cancelled my auto-subscription.
If and when this ever gets sorted out, the product may have a shot again, but for now use something that you have a better chance of running without rebuilding your machine....then again if the philosophy is a brute force method of not allowing your machine to do anything on the web you should be safe from the 'nasties'.
I still have a few months on my subscription and would like to actually see it run successfully, but if it doesn't, the $19.95 I spent is not worth the time and effort or the headaches of using this product.

I uninstalled v5.0, rebooted, reinstalled 4.0, rebooted and everything is back to normal. Boy, they better get this figured out quick. Go to cnet and read the reviews there. Other spyware software sites have reviews even worse than this board.
Take it back from the public and start over!

My subs for ZA and SD are due soon, ZA looks to be being fixed (as well as tjhey ever fix anything. If SD5 isn't fixed soon I also will be moving.
You are lucky. ZAIS installer didn't warn me and I had some problems until I removed SD4 in safe mode. ZAIS 7 is working very well for me and I plan to stick with it unless it messes up in the future. My hope is that SD5 will get fixed to the point where it can be used with ZAIS 7. The two would be a very powerful protection. If you are concerned about what ZAIS 7 can do when it is working correctly, check out the review that PC Magazine did. This is a link to it:

If you install ZAIS 7 I would suggest that you do a clean uninstall first. The Zone Alarm forum has many good instructions on this.

Thanks for the information.
Combined with the replies I got from the zonelab forum... I think I'm going to uninstall SD completely and just use ZASS. Hopefully, SD5 will get the kinks worked out as I have 10 months left on my service.
