Hi All

I just wondering when you do a scan with the SD 5.0.0.169 you just get one report form the SD but i don't see any report from the antivirus.

The other thing is if i want to scan a single file with the antivirus i can't do any more right clik and do an antivirus scan.

And i notice if i change the antivirus settings in the scan Method from detalied to full the cpu goes up to 100%

Thanks

Hi
If a virus is detected an entry in the list of infections titled "Antivirus detected files" will appear with a description of the file and type of virus. Unfortunately, with SD+AV there is no option to scan individual files for viruses. Hopefully this may be a feature of future versions. Im not sure why you are experiencing such high CPU on scanning on full mode, can you post a description of your system specs?

Hi
Sorry for the delayed reply to your query about CPU usage.
I use a system with similar specs to you (1.6GHz CPU and 512MB ram) but i dont get such high CPU usage.
Can you check again to see if this high CPU usage was while scanning .cab .zip or .chm extensions as these compressed files require intense resource usage?
Also, please try updating to version 5.0.0.172 through smart-updates

Hi Mjq424

thanks the update arrive 2 day ago it was fine.
The " problem" still there( high usage of the cpu) and is not scanning anything is just go to spydoctor >antivirus> settings >scan mode> change to full and the cpu goes up to the sky
Thanks

Hi
Just to clarify, the CPU usage goes to 100% just by activating Full antivirus scanning in the Settings?

HI Mjq424
Yep all gone as usual Pctools solve the problem
And as usual I'm late for the answer to the forum

Any way I really notice a big improvement in the last updates and also the pctools firewall is getting much better.

thanks for the help
