Does spam monitor work to block spam (and specific addresses of persons you dont want to receive mail from) when you dont use web based but download it to the hard drive? This is what I need, and before anyone tells me dont download it then, its not me, its my husband, good luck on that one. lol So with that said, I downloaded the spam monitor, put in it the addresses we need blocked, added one of my own to test it. Then I sent from that one of mine, and it did not block it! What do I need to do? Is there a tutorial that would help me? But since I need to block some harassing people now, can someone tell me what to do?

Priitaa,
It takes sometime to have Spam Monitor 'train' itself by first telling it what is spam, after you train it by selecting multiple spam emails and clicking on 'SPAM' you should start to receive less and less spam gradually. There isn't a need to 'Block Sender' as the spam address changes constantly.
You may also wish to go the 'Advanced' tab > 'Realtime Blacklist' > switch the settings to 'Aggressive'. Also in 'Blacklisted Countries', tick all the countries that you know you don't receive emails from.
Lastly, you can go to the 'Learning Engine section and make sure 'Use Automatic Learning' as well as 'Use Learning Engine to enhance SPAM filtering'.
Cheer's.

Thank you for replying. Thing is, there are some very specific people I want to block. I put them into the block address part, added one of my old emails, tested it, and it failed. I don't know how to train the spam monitor either. I tried the wizard and only could get so far until it didn't make sense.

Would that be better if I have specific address I want blocked? I didn't download this just for spam you see, our juno does not offer a block mail. The web one does, the download one doesn't.
Also in 'Blacklisted Countries', tick all the countries that you know you don't receive emails from.

Thanks, I guess I'll give it another try. I've done some of this and just keep running into what seems like brick walls. :)
