I was wondering if SD v5 contains spyware. When I scan my computer with system mechanic pro 7 it picks up the file and states that it is ABetterInternet.ceres. When I looked this up on the internet, it came back as spyware. Is this true?

spyware doctor/bh.dll

Was also picked up on scans from other antispyware apps also.

Thank you

It appears that System Mechanic is detecting SD as a False Positive, we will be contacting the creators of this program to have this fixed. Appreciate the info. :)

I have the same problem. System Mechanic uses Spython to detect parasites and Spython identifies the bh.dll file in the Spyware Doctor directory as Adware.

You indicated in November of last year that you would contact System Mechanic about this. Did you succeed? What is the status?
Other than this small issue, I am pleased so far with Spyware Doctor 5.

Yes I think their is spyware in spyware doctor 5.0...I ran hijack this and it showed over 5 problems, all 5.0 related. The only way I could remove the 0-10 problem was by running LSP fix and uninstalling 5.0. I can't believe pc tools released such a terrible product. Do not upgrade to 5.0 unless you want your computer to be infected with spyware. Run hijack this and you will see what I'm talking about.

Spyware Doctor does NOT contain Spyware and Spyware Doctor does NOT infect your PC with Spyware.

Yes, there are obviously a few teething problems with Spyware Doctor 5 including other products falsely detecting some files. These issue ARE being worked on and ARE being fixed.

System Mechanic has been contacted in regards to their false positive detection of BH.dll.

Awaiting their fix.
