Hello,

I followed the link on top of this page to download RM "6.0.0.780a," but after I installed the program, it's showing "6.0.0.780." I ran smart update and it said "your program is up to date."

Can anyone shed some light on this?

P.S. My first scan results on Vista Ultimate RTM(Build:6000):

Found: 74
Repaired: 73

In regards to your query, if you have downloaded Registry Mechanic through the link, you must have already used the latest version. we do not display the letter 'a' at the end of the version number, it is just for our development team to use.

Why display the "a" at all-why not say 'use Smart Update' to get latest vesion of 780?
