Why can I not open my autoexe.bat file, I click on it to open and it just flashes a Dos screen for a second and closes back? I have win98SE and I was in "my computer" C drive. Thanks Kim

Right-click and choose "Edit". Batch files are executed by default when double-clicked.

J don't have a Win98 system at hand this moment, but from StartMenu>Run execute SYSEDIT, should give you a collection of editable members, AUTOEXEC.BAT among them.
