Icons on my taskbar

Somehow I have a copy of all the Icons in MY COMPUTER on my Taskbar. I can't delete them and when I right click on the taskbar and go to toolbars everything is grayed out. I know there has to be a place in the registry that controls that but I can't find it.

Before you go hacking in the registry take a look at the C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch folder in Windows Explorer. That is where all the shortcuts on the taskbar are kept.
