Registry Mechanic is missing core application files

I just renewed and upgraded to version 6 and I am receiving the following error message:

Registry Mechanic is missing core application files C:\Program Files\Registry Mechanic\log\ignore.dat

Please reinstall.

I have reinstalled several times and still the program does not run. I even uninstalled and reinstalled my old version 5.2, but the problem now exists there as well.

Any advise on how to solve this problem would be appreciated.

Please download the latest version of Registry Mechanic from http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/download/ and install this setup file.

Hey Jim,

If that doesn't work, try installing in Safe Mode - maybe another program is blocking it from installing properly for some reason.

This could happen if under "Regional and Language options" in "Control Panel" you have East Asian language. Change it to English and see how you go
