Hello!

The CHK Temp file shortcuts when I scan, some of my programs are being removed when the fix button is pressed.

When I click on details it gives me nothing except temp file numbers like this:

Low Priority:Temporary/CHK files
Temp=c:documents and settings\hp_administrator\local settings\temp\~df8429.temp

I don't know what that is? and there is a list of different extensions with different number endings.
I know there are maybe broken files or miss located one's. It seems that some of them belongs to a program. When I delete them a couple of my programs become un-usable then I have to download them again.

Can you explain what I should do?

Thank You,
Eileen

It will tell me the name of software shortcuts that I removed.

Hi Eileen,

To assist you further, we need to get some detailed information about the way Registry Mechanic is scanning.

1. Start Registry Mechanic and complete a full scan .

2. Close Registry Mechanic.

3. Navigate to the "\Program Files\Registry Mechanic\Log" and "\Program Files\Registry Mechanic\Data" folder and attach all the files in the "\Log" and "Data" directory.

4. You may want to compress them using zip or rar as they can be rather large.

5. Please attach them to a reply to support@pctools.com

As soon as we receive the logs, we will analyze them and inform you when we have the results

Kind Regards,

Priya Chauhan
