boot up probs

occasionally when i boot up i get either a blank screen or i get into windows i see the taskbar and shortcuts i can move the mouse but i cannot click on them as the hourglass appears any suggestions

Yes, it is time to do some maintenance on your system. I would boot into safe mode and then run scandisk and defrag....that might clear it up, also i would limit what progs. you have loading on startup due to low memory
