tooltips

can someone explain to me how to make the tooltips not pop up when the cursor moves over icons..... please and thank you in advance

TweakUI (I think older versions too) has the feature available also. General Tab: Tooltip Animation, just un-select the checkbox. :-)

This doesn't shut the tooltip off (in tweakUI), it does however allow you to get animation/fade feature activated/dectivated. Is it possible to REMOVE tooltips for the taskbar applications?!?!

I don't even care if they appear on my desktop...

*sigh*
