If I initiate a find using the location "My Computer" the search engine returns no results. I have scoured the registry and found nothing obvious. I have checked "include subfolders". I have used the system file checker and found nothing. I have even reinstalled Windows 98 on top of the existing install. I have not yet tried a clean install, but hope I won't have to. I can select the 'local drives' option or even identify the computer by its network name and the search will work properly.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why Find malfuctions. Perhaps if someone has the same problem as I, we can exchange emails and find out what we have in common.
