I have the same problem with the missing file.
When I tried to post it to support also the webpage gave me some php-error. Lost all the entered details of my request also.

I had the same problem. The solution is to

1) uninstall the program
2) remove the registry mechanic folder from the programs directory,
3) reset
4) download the latest release of registry mechanic from the web site.
5) install

The version (as of Feb 2-21-2007) I installed was 6.0.0.780 .
