View Full Version : Disappearing GUI!

Hi,
For a week now Spyware Doctor's GUI has been intermittently disappearing! On the settings page where the choices are given to quaratine, delete, etc the boxes remain ticked but the selection is missing. Also further down on the page the area where two pull down choices are for language & scan type vanishes!
No other app presents in this manner!
Also, in this time period the tasktray icons disappeared. I found a fix for them. I wanted to mention this, for it may bear some significance re understanding the GUI.
Anybody have a clue?

Hey Michele,
Maybe Spyware Doctor has become corrupted by another program or something in your computer. I would suggest you uninstall Spyware Doctor completely from your computer and reinstall it from the website (www.pctools.com). See if that helps.

Same thing happens with the new d/l! Weird! No one else has experienced this, PC Tools?

Why have support suddenly started answering everyone's questions with PMs? Surely part of the point of having forums is so that if anyone else has the same problem, they can see the solution without having to ask the same question again? Surely you're just making more work for yourselves!?!

Hi Michelle,
If you sent a PM to Anthony about it then that's fair enough that he replied that way. But I've noticed in a couple of other threads that Support has said simply "Check your PM inbox" too. Thought they must have made a decision to start answering questions that way for some reason. Anthony? Tell me I'm wrong, please? ;)

The reason why Support and I use the PM feature is a way to receive license details/order#/email address from the users as this info should not be posted on the forums. This way PC Tools is able to follow up on customers queries/tickets.
However, if there is any useful information, by all means, it would be great to have this info on the forums as this will help others out there with the same issues.
Michelle - You can also post the image with this thread if you can get the screenshot. I can then pass this info to the developers and have this resolved.
