Beta 5.0 big Problems

Hi.
I installed Beta 5.0 version today & everything slowed to a crawl I tried rebooting but still the same, then windows shut the Computer down with a stop error (device Driver problem),at this point I uninstalled & went back to version 4.0 & all was well again!. Lets hope this gets sorted before v5.0 becomes an auto update!.

These issues get upated daily and it appears that you may be experiencing these known issues with SDv5 Beta. All these issues are currently being worked on by the developers and will be resolved shortly.

Could you please elaborate on the 'device Driver problem'. When did this error occur? What were you doing when it occured? Was there any more info provided in the error message?

Incidentally, AFAIK PCT don't generally put updates to the program through the Smart Updates - you have to go and download them separately. I doubt this is going to be any different.

Sorry can't tell you much more about the error message, except that at the time I was considering removing v5.0 anyway & so had just tried reopening sw doc to get my key before completely uninstalling ( I now realize this was not necessary) at this point I got the stop error, sorry I can't be more explicit.

The testers are currently trying to replicate this and we'll see how it goes from there.

When you uninstall and re-install you do not need to re-enter the license details. :)

Can you please upgrade to Spyware Doctor version 5.0.0.167 from www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/beta/.

Let me know how you go with this and if you receive the "device Driver" problem.
