Hi
I was wondering...Is SDv5 with antivirus plugin sufficient protection against current wild viruses? If not my current AV solution would be SAV Corporate v10 which has Microsoft C++ Runtime errors running in conjunction with SDv5 (see similar thread http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45133). Will the SAV issue be resolved before SDv5 full release?

Hi mjq424,

The SD + AV plug in scans for viruses in the same way PCTAV does, so this will protect a computer "against current wild viruses" as it uses the same signature database as the PCTAV :) However, the difference between the plug in and PCTAV is that the plugin does not provide all the features of PCTAV such as the OnGuard tools and other additional features including customization/settings.

Regarding SDv5 and SAV corporate - this issue has been escalated to the developers and will require further investigation. Once I receive more info, I will let you know.
