The email scan function on Spyware Doctor Beta 5 (and previous versions) clashes with Norton Internet Security 2006 antispam email scanning. If this is enabled in both NIS and SD, Outlook email download stops when NIS is scanning the first email. If either SD or NIS email scanning is disabled, receipt of emails works.
The only other factor is that I use Mailwasher - but I don't think that this is contributing to the problem.
Otherwise Beta 5 is a great improvement and will now tempt me to renew my subscription - the slowness and resource hogging version 4 was a big turn off!
