have crawler toolbox installed as i use inbox.com to keep some large files etc uploaded for security s.d. says this spyware etc crawler say its not crawler also supply spyware terminator so who do i believe any help and comments please

spyware doctors says crawler toolbar is websearch toolbar crawler say there is def no spyware etc in their sofware please pc tools who is correct?

Please complete the following to ensure that all necessary steps have been undertaken to ensure you have the latest protection from malware.
1. Perform a Smart Update
2. Under 'Select An Action' please select 'Immunize Your Computer'
3. Ensure that OnGuard and all OnGuard tools are set to ON
4. Perform a FULL Scan
5. Fix and Continue
If threats are found after the full scan, click on 'Fix and Continue'
If the problem continues, please complete the following steps which will enable us to troubleshoot the problem in far more detail.
1. Open Spyware Doctor and click on Tools, select the Malware Detective Tool and then click Run Tool and Next to continue.
2. Tick the box 'I have received a request from support to run the malware Detective' and click Next> to continue.
3. Please wait until the Malware Detective Wizard collects the required information from your computer. (this may take several minutes)
4. Enter your name and email address in the spaces provided. In the section "Enter Your Question Below", please describe the problem in as much detail as possible.

thanks fot the reply i have the latesd dev etc my main question is why does sd 4 find the crawler and calls it webserch toolbar as a threat the online scan on ewido does not is it because crawler make spyware terminator or is just a false pos

It is possibly a false positive but I can't answer that for certain. Running Malware Detective sends us a copy of your scan logs so we can examine them and if there is a false positive we can correct the problem via smart update.

i running the free version as i work in poland does this have the full tool

I don't know about whether the free version has the Malware Detective, but if you could even just send them a link to the installer for the toolbar I'm sure they could install it and test it. :)

Hi bazer,
The Polish/Chinese of SD does not have the malware detective tool (free version). In order to send a malware log, you will need to purchase the subscription for SD or maybe take advice from arden42. Might be better if you or someone with the same issue could send the log so they can analyze the information. :)
