Just opened beta 5 and the problem with custom scans and the repeated "No Disk" error when selecting drives and files to scan is still a problem. Also, no DVD drive offered if there is no disk in that drive before selecting "Custom Scan". Also, I have noticed that the installation's update function, which is supposed to happen automatically on completing installation does not work. I have had the experience after a new install that the AV package reports itself not installed, and going to the AV web page results in being told that it is already installed. If the update function worked, the AV would be updated and the Catch-22 of an uninstalled AV that is already installed would not happen. You are bound to get a bunch of tech support questions over this item which should fix itself automatically. Otherwise, the software runs fine on my system, but I havn't run any scans in the last couple of days, so that is not really much testing.

Hi Jitney,
Regarding the "No Disk" error, what drive does this error occur on? Does it happen on selection of drives in custom scans or when the scan is actually running. We are currently investigating the other issues mentioned and will have an answer for you shortly.

This happens when I choose "Custom Scan" and there is no disk in the DVD drive (TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552L) which is the E: drive on my system. The error message pops up repeatedly - at least 8 or more times before it can be disposed of by clicking any of the options. Eventually, a scan selection dialog shows, but no option of scanning drive E: is offered (the E: drive is not on the directory tree displayed). A similar delay happens with a disk in the drive, but I assumed that the problem there was due to the disk not being read yet and preventing the "Continue" button from disposing of the "No Disk" popup. This lasts longer than the delay without a disk in the drive. I assume that the time taken for the popup to vanish is determined by the time taken to read the disk information.

Thanks for the additional info.
I'll pass this on to the developers.
Cheers,
