Yahoo IM Sign on Blocked

First of all...great piece of software.

I have allowed outbound for Yahoo IM, but when I go to sign on, I am unable to do so. Is there something else I need to do in settings?:confused:

Might be one of the rules that is blocking Yahoo IM.

Check the logs to see which filtering rule is blocking Yahoo IM, then go to filtering rule and adjust this to allow Yahoo IM to run.

Hello there!

I have encountered a similar problem when running the AVG anti-virus updater. With the firewall off, it works, but with it on, I will get an error saying that AVG Updater cannot connect.

I tried looking into the logs, they seemed very simplistic and I was unable to either understand the logs, or implement the rule in a filter.

Upgrade to Firewall Plus 2.0.0.9 from http://www.pctools.com/firewall/download/. The rules are much easier to add in this version. See how this goes. Let us know if you are still having problems receiving the AVG updates.
