I have Run Spyware doctor for nearly a year, with out a problem,I have just changed over from a MSI KT4 Ultra to a MSI K7N2GM2-ILSR Running 2800+ Barton 1Gig memory, 320 Gig SATA drive, plus a 120Gig IDE drive, on board Graphics
I get blue screened and lockups and one example failure code:-

I have got Zone Alarm there was conflict with the anti-spyware disabled it but still problems so unloaded both and reinstalled them leaving Zone alarm spyware off, The error message above came up,it was a clean install of XP Pro, after sending by auto to PC tools with no reply I decided to join the Blog

I have the same problems with Spyware doctor. It locks up the computer and hogs 85 to 95 % of the CPU. This use to work fine, but it has turned into a piece of crap the longer I use it.

The beta versions of SD have known issues and if it is not running like it should, you can always go back to SDv4, until the final release of SDv5.
See http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44951.

Can you please provide us with the following information, please go to:
Control Panel->System->Advanced->Startup and Recovery (settings)
In 'Write debugging information', choose 'Kernel memory dump'
In most cases the memory dump file will be located at Windows\memory.dmp. I will private message you my email address and you can attach the file and email it to me. We will analyze this info and get back to you.
Also, which version of Spyware Doctor are you currently running?
