Usually users can simply press 'Cancel' at the Windows logon box to bypass the login
process and gain access to the local computer. I have the tweak info to prevent someone from doing this in windows 9x (NoLogon) in registry editor but don't no if it will work in Windows ME

Unless I did something wrong....it didn't work for me. I was able to log-in by hitting cancel and the 'X' in the upper-right corner of the log in box.

the first thing to ask is, although i haven't used winME, what is the primary logon?
The win9x tweak as far as I know, only works if you are on either Windows Family Logon, or Client For MS Networks...
thats my 2c!

Yes that tweak will work for Windows ME! You just have to be sure to put the key "NoLogon" in the "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Run" folder. IT DOES WORK I HAVE DONE IT!
