If you haven't paid for it then it won't remove malware infections, but it will detect them.

As btman has mentioned, the free version of SD will scan your computer, but will not remove the infections unless you purchase the 12 months subscription.

ooooo, i dont now that, but if antivirus and firewall is free for what the antispyware not are???

Well I guess if PC Tools offered all their products for free, they wouldn't be making any money, would they? ;)

I do think it's rather rude that it won't clean the infections though - a 30 day trial (even 7 days!) or something would be better.
