I have had no problems with Spyware Doctor since purchasing version 4 many moons ago. It automatically updates itself and carries out a scan daily.
After browsing many posts here today within this community, I will admit my confidence in the product is now slightly waining.:(
The above ticket was raised against a new programme that I had purchased just before Christmas, titled 2Flyer Screensaver Builder, a product that has been on the market and has been in use for some 5 years. Details here: http://www.2flyer.com/
On loading and using 2Flyer, Spyware Doctor immediately reports that this software has Bargain Buddy. Hence ticket raised etc, etc. I also raised via corresponding with 2Flyer.com to inform them, which they came back immediately and replied that it is clean, and they wanted also to know which product I was using that identied their software as Spyware, as they stated that they would contact PC Tools. All my other antivirus programmes that I run do not identify 2Flyer with any problems.
The last reply I had from PC Tools on 28 Jan 07 was:
At this stage it is not possible to give a precise time frame regarding a resolution for your problem. Due to the fact new variants of spyware/adware are released to the internet everyday it may take some days to research which variant you have and the most applicable resolution. A Technical Support Representative will be addressing your request as a matter of high priority.
In the meantime all work regarding my screensavers that I had been build for my website (www.lcars.org.uk) are now on hold. As I require confidence that when I upload the screensavers they are not full of spyware.
How long does this procees take in addressing and resolving the ticket? As I have not heard anythng since.
