First of all, my computer doesn't completely slow down anymore!

Except two things: at startup, Spyware Doctor Service takes a while to start...

Eventvwr says the following:

Event 7022:

The Spyware Doctor Service service hung on starting.

And IE 6 (not only IE 7) lags....

Also...I have a question:
What is the difference between the auto updates configuration that you can make on the General Settings part of Options and the scheduled task of updating?...Is it just more control over what it does? Sorry if I'm not clear....If I'm not, I'll try to reword it...

Testing the rootkit scan now :D

Hi adchia,

The error message you are receiving Event 7022, could be related to msn. Check this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319127 for more info. When I start SD it loads straight away. Try the SDv5 Beta 4 to see if it helps.

And IE 6 (not only IE 7) lags - I get this as well, but its part of the reported issues so hopefully will be resolved soon. I just go without the OnGuard tools for the time being and perform an intelli scan regularly for protection.

The General Settings part of Options - This gives you an option of how you would like to perform a Smart Update, example, not to check for updates, to perform silent updates (background) and so on. Whereas the Scheduled updates allows you to select a day and time to perform a Smart Update or scan, just like an alarm clock.
