baffled...

I've been running swdoctor for almost a year now with mixed emotions about it... it's a pig, basically.
I noticed today during a reboot that it took longer than normal to run it's course after startup (normal being too long to start with) and while watching it in task manager, I noticed that it creates literally millions of page faults. As I write this, with machine having been booted 15 mins ago, there are nearly 6 million page faults attributed to swdoctor.exe with more being created every tic. The i/o reads are only around 11k.
So, is this something that is sop for swdoctor or is this something out of the ordinary? Is my memory going bad?
Thanks...
