sd 5 beta stuck on scan (full) is not doing any thing

trid to do a full scan scaned items 0 . items processed 0 it will not shut down it say the system is locked please give me some advice thanks.

Just a quick question are you using Spyware Doctor 5.0 Beta 1 or Beta 2?

Try to uninstall/re-install Spyware Doctor.

If this doesn't work, perhaps you can run a safemode scan/re-installation.

Could be something corrupt within the installation thats not enabling you to perform this scan.

See if an Intelli-scan works or custom scan.

When I installed Beta does that automatically destroy settings I have for v4?
I tried - probably stupidly - whejn installing v5 beta to have v5 and v4 running. I put the exe files etc into a new folder Spyware Doctor 2. Does this work or fail - I presume the latter. For reasons I havw given elsewhere in this forum, I eventually uninstalled v5 and re installed v4 - which is what I am currently on again.

If you currently have SD4 installed and you decide to install SD5, this will replace the initial setup for SD4.

You do not need to create 2 folders for Spyware doctor, as you can simply download SD4 from the pctools website if you need to re-install this version. But if you would like to have 2 separate folders this shouldn't matter cause whichever version you want to install, you can just double click on the setup icon.
