Can I get the exact build of PG, example: 4.1.0.34.

The developers are looking into this at the moment.

Anthony

The above captioned is the latest on my machine. Got to tell you Anthony, I am a little hesitant to pull the trigger on this program with Vista. Given my experience with RM(no system restore point creation) system hang and then prior system restore point wipeout, I had to reinstall Vista. Given that, Guard could cause just as bad of a problem. Has you company thoroughly QC(d) this product with Vista. Is there someway that I can see the relative paths of the built-in erase features.

OS Vista Ultimate Build 6 and change

Please be aware that the Current Version of Privacy Guardian is not Vista Ready. The information on the website is incorrect and is being updated. However, I have been told from the developers that the next version of Privacy Guardian will be Vista ready and this should be released soon.

The current version will work on Vista, however some functionality within the program may not work, until the release of the new version.

With Registry Mechanic, the new version should be released some time next week or the week after. I will need to confirm and get back to you. This version will include the 'system restore point creation' feature.

Thanks, I look forward to the next release and the vista compatability with all your products.

I'm using 4.1.0.35, it's supposed to be Vista ready (according to the web page), and it still doesn't detect items in the Recycle Bin.

But I look forward to the time when this program works fully in Vista!

BTW, I'm not positive about this, but it doesn't seem to be shredding correctly. It seems to be doing it too fast for a 10 pass overwrite. I tried it with a 75 MB file, and my disk activity LED didn't show activity for very long.

I'm running Vista Home Premium

Hopefully the new version will be released soon.

In the meantime, you can try Desktop Mechanic, it is currently a beta, but its Vista compatible and its free until the 19th of May 2007. Check out this: http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46975 for more info.

I was using version 4.1.0.35 and it was cleaning out the Recycle Bin with no problems. After using it the Bin was completely empty. This was with Vista.
