I currently have the latest build for Reg Mechanic. However I do have some concerns. After several months of using Reg Mech I believe it may be causing problems with my OS. For example; if I uninstall a program because of corruption and reinstall the same program, obviously Reg Mech will detect the broken links and residue from the uninstall. But, if I elect to delete the files that Reg Mech deems a problem, is it also effecting the same files for the new install? I ask this because I have isolated some problems to Reg Mechanic. As crazy as this sounds, Reg Mechanic has deleted necessary files needed for WinXP's backup utility, as a result the backup utility would not launch. Any Registry Mechanic experts out there reading this, can you tell me if it is safe to allow Registry Mechanic to delete all files it determines as not needed? What is the most effective method of running Registry Mechanic without causing problems to your operating system? Thanks to everyone in advance that helps with this thread!

HI Brawly... I do not call myself as an expert but the following information may help you.

If repairing the problems cause any problem then you can always restore the changes made my reg mech.
