Start Up Problem

I recently installed visual studio 6.0 and when the online registration began my computer locked up(this was after it had dialed in). Now everytime I start my computer it dials in first before it even loads up the desktop and once it is dialed in the dial-up-networking icon is not on my taskbar. Is this a registery problem?

Run msconfig.exe, go to the startup tab, and uncheck anything non-essential there that could be causing your problem. I'm not familiar with Visual Studio, but does it start auto at startup?
I had this problem, and fixed it as above by trial and error. Good Luck
