smart updater will not update

I installed PCTFW yesterday. I have found that the smart updater does not update. I am completely puzzled why this is happening as I am computer literate. Can anyone help? Thank you.

If you have version 1.0.0.10 installed you have the latest version and there is nothing to update at this time.

I know that this version is the last but when i try to update it the smart update stops and the result is that it seems that i never used smart update!Is it a bug???

If there is nothing to update what results are you expecting when you run the updater?

I mean that the procedure of updater is strange because in spyware doctor or in pc tools antivirus the smart update refers that there are no updates available but here there is a sudden interruption. I know that is the last version and it is not critical,i just wonder.

Hi:

I too found it a little confusing since I am a subscriber and keen user of the Spyware Doctor program. Perhaps another way of putting Iorages's point is that a simple flash and no message is ambiguous. If - as now - there is nothing new to update - why not just flash a small box saying "You have the most up to date edition..." or something . This is what happens with SD, with Spybot S & D, with Adaware etc. Its just knowing for sure that is the issue - you are not sure if there is nothing or if it is broken.

Hope that is what you meant.
