Hi everyone, I'm new here.
I have a little problem with my PC Tools AntiVirus; it is correctly licensed to me with an active subscription, it updates itself correctly, but since I have installed the new version 3.1 (after formatting hard drive) it doesen't recognize the last update date; I noticed that after having donwloaded the updates, Smart Update doesn't say "restarting product". Can this be the problem? I do not know. Anyway, although in the main dialog there is the alert "Last Update was 15 day ago", the program is updated, because if I try to update it again, it says "Your PC Tools AntiVirus is up-to-date". Please, can anyone help me?
Tha last fun thing is that following the path Help - About - Smart Update, I read: Last Smart Update 30/12/1899   How can this be possible??
Bye

Hi Stefano,

Once you perform a successful update, when a new smart update has been released, 'Last Smart Update 30/12/1899' should be fixed.

As for not being able to run a smart update because it says it is up to date, this issue is being looked into and will be resolved shortly.

Will let you know once I receive more information.

The problem is that I can perform a successful Smart Update, I see Engine Version and Database Version of AV "growing up", but the program doesen't recognize the date of last smart update. I installed PC Tools AV (version 3.1) 16 days ago and the program still today says: "Last Smart Update 16 days ago", when I installed it, but I updated it yesterday! And when the program says it's up-to-date it's because it is really updated! Probably it's because it doesen't recognize a complete smart update that it says "Last Smart Update 30/12/1899", or not?

Thanks for the additional info.

Since you are receiving the latest signatures, it looks like there may be a problem with the status screen and as you mentioned the date. It appears that the PCTAV is functioning ok with the incorrect display.

This has has already been escalated and should be resolved shortly.

Have you tried uninstalling PCTAV completely and then re-installing?

Yes, in few words, as you say, PCTAV works good, but with an incorrect date of last update.

I haven't tried uninstalling PCTAV completely and then re-installing, but I'll do it. If it doesen't work, I will post again on this tread, ok?

Thanks very much for your support,
Bye
