when does protection start?

At what point does this firewall start protecting the system? It is not the first app to appear in the system tray. Does it take some time for it to load completely and start working?

On my PC, the Firewall is one of the first programs to start. It looks like it works straight away after the icon has loaded into the system tray.

But when does the driver load? Are we protected at start up?

In this version, the Firewall loads when the user logs in and then the protection starts however, in the next version the Firewall engine will be a service, this means that protection will start even when the user is not logged in.
