RM scan took 3 - 4 hours

I have installed my RM and completed registration. Then I opened it, closed all other aplications and started scan. It take around 4 hours to completed.
Can any one tell me how to fix.

I try unstalled and then restall for 2 times, but still the same.

Hey,

To boot up in safemode, see below:

1. Click on the Start button.
2. Click ''Shut Down'' from the menu (''Turn off Computer'' in XP).
The 'Shut Down Windows' dialog box will appear.
3. Select or Click "Restart" from the dialog box.
4. When the computer starts back up, immediately press the F8 key repeatedly until the Windows Startup menu appears with various options.
5. Using the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard, select 'Safe Mode'.
6. Login to your account (if asked).
7. Wait and eventually Windows will start in Safe Mode.

Once in safemode, open Registry Mechanic and run a scan.

Does it seem to stop or slow on any particular area of the registry, HKEY_...? What version of Windows are you using? Do you have any security software installed and active, as some (poorly designed ;)) antivirus have been known to intercept every call from Registry Mechanic and slow it which could cause the problem you are seeing.
