computer freezing up

I'm having a problem with my computer freezing up when trying to log off.
This is the only issue keeping me from using this as my firewall.I uninstalled
and had no further issues.

Did you try reinstalling and see if it happens again? Occasionally glitches happen during program installs and everything doesn't get set just right. This could happen with any program, not necessarily this firewall.

I'm sure this is an unnecessary question, but, you don't have any other firewall installed do you?

Another thought is that if you had another firewall installed before installing PC Tools Firewall it's possible that one didn't uninstall cleanly and could be causing conflicts.

And one final thought, sometimes it helps to disable antivirus programs when installing to avoid issues.

None of these ideas may be relevant in your case...just something to think about.

I reinstalled this firewall and had the same problem.
The only other firewall I have is the windows default

What brand firewall are you using? Also, you should never have more than one firewall running. If you didn't have Microsoft's firewall turned off that could have been the cause. If not, let us know which firewall you are using. Running a firewall at it's default configuration shouldn't cause problems.

Microsoft firewall.I made sure it was turned off and reinstalled again.I encountered the same problem trying to log off as i had before.
