Hi,

My Dad recently purchased Registry Mechanic as his previous license had run out.

He received a new key so that'll need to be used.

I have tried everything to try get the license off the PC. Removing the registry entries, using FileMon to see if Registry Mechanic accesses some kind of file with the license info in, we've followed all the tutorials on the support section of the website, we've searched all over the internet and haven't been able to find anything.

We have contacted PCTools, but no reply yet. Apprently the service/email response time is terrible from what I have read.

So, how is this new license supposed to be used? Don't you think it's a bit of a rip off how when you purchase a new license you can't even use it?

I have contacted support on a few occassions and have been successful. Try calling them on 1-800-764-5783.

c_edge is right, Support will need to look at your particular situation and tailor the solution for you. Usually if the old license is not being used anymore, we will disable it for you - After that a Smart Update will revert it back to trial version.

Then you can enter the new license to register again.

If you PM us your ticket number/order details, we'll look it up for you.
