Hi
I tried the new PC tools Firewall, and despite using the amended rules was unable to get ant LAN access.
What makes this bad is that after I uninstalled the firewall I still have no LAN access.
I am unable to ping any other computers on the LAN, even with windows firewall disabled. The other computers can't ping me. However I still retain internet access through my ADSL router on 192.168.1.1 which I can communicate with.
The only thing I can find amiss is that ipconfig shows windows routing enabled, however, the registry key IPEnableRouter is set to zero.
Any help much appreciated

Hi
Been there. Tried this. even with winnuke etc. disabled I couldn't see the other computers.
Uninstalled and still no network.
Is there a list of installation changes that the program makes that I could work through as I suspect the uninstall was flawed.
Best Regards

After the latest version was released, the firewall refuses connection to Stem-servers. Turning PC Tools Fw off is the only way to connect to Counterstrike servers.

Hi, u can use Regshot to see what changes are after an installation. Make a snapshot before installing and one after and you'll see the changes.

We have fixed a bug in the logic of creation of filtering rules which caused the remote port configuration not to be saved. We suggest that you Smart Update to the latest version. The Smart Update process will update the PCTFW.exe (to test that you have received the latest update, right click on the PCTFW.exe and choose properties, then check that the version of the PCTFW.exe is 1.0.0.10)
We have also updated the Filtering rules but since we do not want to automatically replace the rules for users who edited their rules we have not released it in the Smart Update. You can download the latest rules from this post, (see attachment).
You can use this rule by shutting down the firewall and then go to C:\Program files\ PC Tools Firewall Plus, rename the old rule file (RulesSet.rls) and copy the new RulesSet.rls file to that directory, then restart your firewall.
