i found the setting to do it on this site before but i cant seem to find it again if anyone could point me to where it is or tell me how to do it i would appericate it.

the drop down box works but i know there is a setting to make it complete like netscape does and finish the url for you. thats what im looking for

One enables/disables Auto-complete altogether. The other controls whether auto-complete gives a drop-down list box or completes the text as you type.

<font color=blue> Ok my head is a bit thick, what you are saying is one will totally get rid of autocomplete, but the hack will allow you to use auto complete, but getting rid of the drop down box. /images/w3t/icons/crazy.gif <font color=blue>

Basically that's it -- it's a bit hard to explain, you can always try the tweak out and see the difference yourself!

Note: This setting also changes the functionality of Internet Explorer.

Does that mean it changes things other than Autocomplete. </font color=blue>

It just changes the auto complete functionality of Internet Explorer, I've updated the tweak to clear that up.
