I am trying the RM trial. When I first start the program, I get a message box that pops up telling me that it is installing MS Frontpage. (FP is already installed on my computer). I have to repeatedly click "cancel" to get out of the install and run RM. What is going on?

Sounds as though Front Page has become corrupted. Un-install it from Add/Remove Programs, re-boot, and the, if you actually use it, re-install it.

This is a known Windows Installer issue that occurs intermittently with many programs, not just Registry Mechanic. In most cases, it is resolved by actually re-installing the program that the Windows Installer asks for. During the install process, the registry will be updated with new data that will stop the Windows Installer opening in future.

If this does not work, try uninstalling Registry Mechanic, re-start your system, and then re-install Registry Mechanic. Perform a final re-start and see if this fixes your problem.

While I was replying, didn't see that there was a reply yet, still in the posting screen.

But all is good :)

That was it; I reinstalled FP and all is well. It was quick and painless. Thank you!
