Hi Guys,

Any tips on removing this worm (which attaches to icrss.exe)? I have tried running a scan in Safe Mode with networking but with no luck and my emails to PCTools support seem to be ignored.

Regards,
Brad.

Hi brb,

Can I get you to attach the log files from PCTAV. See below for instructions:

C:\Documents and Settings\[Your user name]\Application Data\PC Tools\PC Tools AntiVirus\Application Logs\PCToolsAntivirus.txt

C:\Program Files\PC Tools AntiVirus\PCTAVService.txt

I will PM you my email address and if you could, please attach PCToolsAntivirus.txt and PCTAVService.txt files to the email.

Note: 'Application Data' folder is a hidden folder and requires configuration of Windows Explorer to view hidden files & folders.

C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\

* To view hidden folder
- Open Windows Explorer or My Computer
- Click 'Tools' from top menu
- Select Folder Options and then click View tab
- Tick the box 'Show hidden files & folders'
- Click Apply & OK

If you are uanble to locate the above log files, then please search for the PCToolsAntivirus.txt files from your hard disk.

Hi brb,

You can try the following to remove Worm.SdBot.TBE.

Navigate to Settings -> Scan Settings -> Action to be performed on a detected item and have the 'Infected Item' drop down menu set to 'Remove' instead of 'Quarantine' by default.

let me know how you go with this.

Cheers,
Chippa
