This firewall has a few problems:

It affects Internet connection, especially login sites (this is fixable by disabling certain filters. Unfortunately for me, I have no idea which specific filters to disable)
Messes with a few functionalities, such as copy/paste (minor and easily ignorable)

The above problems aren't trouble at all, but there is something about this firewall that I find very perplexing:
When the firewall is enabled, sometimes (but not all the time), pressing the arrow keys fails to move a cursor throughout a text box. Why would this be? Is it fixable?

Hi armaetin,

We are releasing a new version of PC Tools Firewall Plus within the next few days. Some of the issues you are experiencing may have been resolved as the Rules have been modified.

If however, after running the new version and the same issues occur, we will need some screenshots of the issues or log files which will help us to find a solution.

We will definitely look into this further.

Thank you for your time.
In my opinion, a firewall shouldn't change the functionality of the applications it allows. The firewall seems to be forcing web browsers to ignore a text box every now and then or something of that sort. For example, in the browser Mozilla Firefox, pressing the apostrophe key launches something called the quick find toolbar. When entering text into a form entry or typing box( such as the one used to post a message on this forum) pressing apostrophe, of course, returns an apostrophe and does not launch the quick find toolbar. However, when this firewall is enabled, pressing the apostrophe key in a text box does not enter an apostrophe but, instead, launches the quick find toolbar. Fortunately, I haven't yet seen the backspace key refuse to delete a character and instead go to the previous-most page.

That seems very strange; the firewall should not affect any application in the way you mentioned. To confirm it's FW have you tried uninstalling it alone and see if the problem is resolved? If not, as Anthony said, try the next version coming out soon.

Eh well, not being able to use arrow keys every now and then is only a minor nuisance. A few bugs here and there pale in comparison to the efficiency of this firewall (wow, works well for something with only a 4,000K mem usage). And the update fixed many of the Internet connection lags the prior version caused. Keep up the good work! :)
