Hi! My new PIII purchased in October has been hanging on shutdowns. I've tried many things to isolate the problem but with no success. The Start Button Shutdown, and Restart menu fails me, The Ctrl-Alt-Delete-Shutdown fails me. I have to press the Reset button to reboot then immediately go to Shutdown and then the Shutdown button will work. If I wait for a few minutes longer then it will hang on shutdown again. Pretty soon that little reset button is going to wear out. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Are you running Windows 98Se, if so this is a Known BUG, go to the Microsoft Website and do a search for WIN98Se SHUTDOWN FIX.

Thanks for the reply Adrian. I did go to the site but could not find anything pertaining to </font color=blue for a shutdown bug. They did have a couple of updates there that i did download and try but my system still hangs on shutdown. I also disabled my anti virus to scan floppy on shutdown still with no results. Still battling this one.
