I have a service that appears but I can't find on the hardrive but it shows up in the registry inside something called a Legacy folder.

The services control panel showed it under automatic but it can't be started. It can be disabled

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\Root\ LEGACY_WXSPXROI

Service: WXSPXROI - Unknown owner - C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WXSPXROI.exe (file missing)

I used ccleaner and killbox to clean out all temp files but it didn't appear to help any.

I have done many different security scans and none of them showed any viruses, trojans, worms dialers, malware/spyware etc.

What is the legacy fold what are legacies?

Is it something I should be concerned about if so how do I delete it?

Thanks in advance
Take Care

I searched Google and found Castle Cops WinPatrol if that helps at all.

UPDATE: I was able to get a handle on the service in question. I found help on how to use cmd to get to dos and was given the commands to delete the service. All is well now.

It is amazing how all these forums are such a great help. Keep up the good works.
