Hello, I just came back from vacation and my internet isn't working. I am on a router that has a Mac also hooked up to the router and it does get the internet. I did an ipconfig and noticed that my DNS Suffix entry is blank. How can I correct this issue? Is the a way to manually enter the DNS Suffix through DOS or any other way? If so, I will have to check the Mac for the DNS, but I don't know Mac. Is there a way to get that info from the Mac? My ISP is Verizon DSL for NYC.
Thanks

Hi,
Unless your computer is a member of a windows domain then you will not have a dns suffix - it will be blank.
For example if my domain name was something.com and the computer was called WS1 then the full name would be WS1.something.com where something.com is the dns suffix.
Have a look in the event log and see if there are any clues there as to why you cannot access the internet from the windows computer.
